MODALART CONTAINER HOUSE IN THE CATSKILLS, NEW
YORK

ModalART was awarded an exciting project
entailing the procurement, modification (including cutouts and
reinforcements,) painting, plus delivery of rare shipping containers
for a spectacular residential housing project in the picturesque Catskills of
New York.
Only because
ModalART
has a deep network of equipment suppliers and vendors, of
steamship and leasing companies, and container manufacturers, we
managed to successfully procure very rare 20' and 45' High Cube shipping containers for the
construction of this amazing
post-industrial
gem.
ModalART
completed all
work to
the exacting drawings and specifications of
the architect in early November. All structural steel components
passed quality control tests and met the requirements to be
incorporated in this
state-of-the-art residential building.
ModalART
delivered all
components by two tractor trailers to the
building site simultaneously. There they were lifted off the
trailers and set on concrete foundations in a single day.
The builder and his great crew took over from there.
This fascinating project has been successfully completed.
